BOLIVIALA LINDA

Espresso
New
Product description
After the natural lot of Don Carlos we also chose a great washed coffee from a fresh harvest from Bolivia. We like it a lot for its light body, juiciness of ripe cherries and redcurrants, which is nice balanced with marzipan sweetness.

About this coffee

La Linda is the farm Los Rodriguez project was founded upon. It was
the first place Agricafe decided to experiment with producing its own high quality coffee rather than exclusively sourcing it from their producers. With a subtropical climate, rich soil and a privileged location between two forest-covered mountains, La Linda is an ideal place for coffee growing.

La Linda, which means pretty one, gets its name from the first nursery of Java trees that were planted at the farm and grew beautifully. In addition, Pedro was having breakfast at the farm one morning, and as he drank his coffee and looked out at the landscape before him, all he could think was what a beautiful sight it was. And so La Linda was named. Los Rodriguez used the farm as a shelter to breathe, brew a coffee and enjoy nature. While doing this for 5 years, they kept dreaming about being able to change the complicated situation Bolivian coffee was going through due to the drastic fall of production and farm abandonment. The farm holds a special place in the hearts of the Agricafe team because of the fundamental role it’s played into making Los Rodriguez dream into a reality. After experimenting with different techniques and making plenty of mistakes along the way, La Linda turned into one of Agricafe’s greatest success stories.

Finca La Linda is a hidden corner in the middle of the Amazon jungle that enjoys a perfect micro climate for Java varieties that grow in an incredible way and look super healthy. So it is also the home of many animals since it has the privilege of having a stream where many animals get water. Further, Finca La Linda is home to all the mother plants of Los Rodriguez varieties, meaning that all varieties were initially planted at La Linda in order to develop the seed and later expand on the other farms.

How to understand the grid on packaging?

We wanted to make it as easy as possible for you to choose your coffee, so we worked with the guys from Steezy Graphic Studio to come up with a “grid” – a simple grid where you can easily find the characteristics of each coffee.
The red dot next to the description of each coffee is placed exactly there, so that you can easily imagine how the coffee will taste.

Citrus – chocolate
Here we’d like to give you an idea of how fruity the coffee will be. There’s a long way from citrus to chocolate, so imagine more in between:
citrus, berries, green apples, red apples, stone fruits, dried fruits, nuts, milk chocolate and dark chocolate 😉

Mild – wild
What is mild coffee? We’d say it’s unpretentious. A coffee that you can just have every morning and not have to think too much about it. It’s just good.
The higher the dot, the more excitement you can expect in the taste of coffee. The more surprising and fun it can be. These coffees are fruity, fun, interesting and make you think about what it is that you actually enjoy about them so much.
